KnowledgePool named again one of the top training outsourcing companies

by Personnel Today 4 Jul 2008
by Personnel Today 4 Jul 2008

KnowledgePool, the UK market leader in managed learning, has been named as one of the Top 20 companies in the global training outsourcing industry, for the second year running, by the web-based knowledge community TrainingOutsourcing.com.

A selection committee from TrainingOutsourcing.com evaluated the corporate competencies and business capabilities of 400 industry-leading providers, including their strategic alignment, content development, portfolio management, delivery, administration, strategic reporting and analysis, leadership, financial strength, geographic reach, technology integration and cultural compatibility.

KnowledgePool was judged to have demonstrated innovation and excellence in the core competencies required in 25 business processes covering administration, content, delivery and technology.

Dr. Jim Hanlin, Chief Marketing Officer of TrainingOutsourcing.com, said:

“Our criteria for selection to the ‘Top 20’ list reflects the expanded role of outsourced learning services in the business strategy of major corporations.

“The companies selected have comprehensive abilities and proven records for developing and delivering the highest quality of outsourced training services.

“Special attention was given to the use of best practices in learning analytics and evaluation methods as well as the capabilities, resources and experience in providing international learning services.”

Paul Jefferson, CEO of KnowledgePool, said:

“We’re delighted to be recognised again as one of the world’s leading providers of training outsourcing. This caps an excellent year for us, not only in terms of our financial performance and our recent acquisition of Business Training Partnership (BTP) but also for the public recognition we have achieved.

“The ‘Top 20’ companies identified by TrainingOutsourcing.com reported significant revenue growth of 18% in learning BPO services from 2006 to 2007 and have projected an additional 16% increase for 2008.

“This continued strong growth shows that training outsourcing is maturing and becoming the preferred business strategy for organisations that want to enhance the value from their learning activities.

“With our L&D and outsourcing expertise, and our commitment to continuous service improvement, we’re well placed to help clients maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of their learning.”

With 40 years’ experience in the training industry, KnowledgePool manages learning for major clients such as British Airways, Fujitsu Services, the Home Office, Merrill Lynch and Orange.

Working in partnership with in-house learning and development teams, KnowledgePool takes over the responsibility for the day-to-day management of learning, allowing clients to achieve cost reductions and improve the effectiveness and strategic contribution of their learning.

The company provides skills management, training administration, supplier management, bespoke training programmes, learning consultancy, learning evaluation, analytics and the management of in-house programmes.

TrainingOutsourcing.com is a dedicated online community for the training industry which aims to foster a more efficient marketplace for learning by providing objective information on how to create sustainable value through learning services.
