On the move

Rachael Henderson has joined building services organisation Norland Managed Services as HR director. She joins from facilities management service provider Johnson Controls, where she was HR manager for four years. Prior to that, she was with the banking group Halifax for seven years in various roles. Henderson began her career as an HR graduate trainee for National Grid.

Lorraine Pitt, head of HR at Essex County Council, is leaving the council in November. The decision follows the reorganisation of the corporate support services at the council. Pitt has been head of HR for the past six years.

Online company Yahoo Europe has appointed Helen Russell as vice-president, HR, Europe with responsibility for HR operations and human capital. She joins from software provider Siebel Systems, where she was regional group director, HR. She replaces Stuart Crabb, who moves to the US to become director of talent development with responsibility for employee learning.
