The John Lewis Partnership, comprising the department store and the Waitrose supermarket group, has announced the appointment of Janice Doherty as personnel director. She moves from head of personnel at Waitrose, a role she held since 1995. Doherty joined the John Lewis Partnership in 1982, working in a variety of branch and personnel roles.
The De Vere Belfry, the leading business, golf and leisure resort, has appointed Angela Whetton as its new head of HR. She was formerly regional HR manager with Matalan, and will now head up a team of 10 staff at the site in North Warwickshire.
Support services and shipbuilding company VT Group has appointed Jo Robbins as group HR director of the organisation. Robbins was formerly group HR director with the international logistics company Tibbett and Britten Group.
