Specsavers Corporate Eyecare offers vouchers to clients

by Personnel Today 26 Mar 2010
by Personnel Today 26 Mar 2010

Specsavers Corporate Eyecare is allowing its corporate clients to maximise their eyecare spending by doubling-up on voucher offers.

It is obligatory for all members of staff who work with Visual Display Units (VDUs) to be provided with glasses, if required. Specsavers Corporate Eyecare provides VDU vouchers to cover this obligation. As a tangible additional employee benefit, Specsavers Corporate Eyecare also provides Premium Club vouchers completely free of charge to corporate clients which order any of its eyecare vouchers. Premium Club vouchers entitle the holder to a £20 discount on all glasses from the £99 range or above, including designer ranges.

The unusual step has been taken in allowing corporate clients to use the two vouchers in conjunction. This means that for the cost to the employer of just £17 for a VDU voucher, the customer will be able to receive any pair of glasses, if required for VDU use, from the £45 range, without paying a penny towards them. Or, if they choose to upgrade they can also use the Premium Club offer for a £20 discount on any glasses from the £99 range or above. This means that the customer can receive a pair of designer glasses worth £99 for just £34, if required for VDU use.

Both the VDU and Premium Club vouchers can simply be handed out among all levels of staff and they can be redeemed at any of Specsavers’ 638 UK stores. Each employee is entitled to three Premium Club vouchers per year: one for themselves and two for family members. The vouchers simply have to be presented at any Specsavers store for family members to be eligible for the same discount.

Corporate clients purchasing any number or combination of VDU, Optical Care or Safety Eyewear vouchers can request as many free Premium Club vouchers as they require.

Laura Butler, Corporate Account Manager for Specsavers Corporate Eyecare, says: “We believe our VDU vouchers are in themselves terrific value for money but when used in conjunction with our completely free Premium Club vouchers they offer a tangible benefit to staff at no extra cost to the employer.”
