British Airways and Unite union to resume talks today at secret location

British Airways (BA) and Unite union will resume talks today as cabin crew strikes enter their fifth day.

Willie Walsh, chief executive of BA, is expected to meet Tony Woodley and Derek Simpson, the joint leaders of Unite, to try to resolve the dispute over jobs, pay, working conditions and travel perks.

The negotiations will be held at a secret location after talks last weekend were interrupted when protesters stormed the building, the BBC has reported.

If a deal is not reached, further five-day strikes are due to begin on Sunday 30 May and Saturday 5 June.

Unite has said it will call off the industrial action if BA reinstates travel concessions that were previously stripped away from striking cabin crew staff.
