Amicus has called for a government investigation into the increasing security risks of offshoring financial services administration from the UK to India.
The union said it had major concerns about the “increasing problems” of outsourcing and called for a commons select committee inquiry to check security standards of personal data overseas.

Amicus said it had written to politicians for support, the Scotsman reports.
Amicus national officer David Fleming said: “There is growing evidence that offshoring does not benefit employees, consumers or shareholders.”
