Arc People Development scores leadership hat-trick

by Personnel Today 29 Feb 2008
by Personnel Today 29 Feb 2008

Arc has announced that it has been re-approved by the Institute of Leadership and Management as one of their quality centres offering ILM accredited development programmes. Its current approval runs until 2011.

Secondly, you may also have heard in the press that the ILM has launched a brand new suite of qualifications which rather than being made up of small modules are now made up of much bigger chunks of learning – called units.

This brings them into line with the national framework for qualifications where people can work towards a qualification or get credit for individual units achieved – just like a National Vocational Qualification.

We are approved to offer the following:

At Level 2, there is the Award and Certificate in Team Leading
At Level 3 we offer the Award, Certificate and Diploma in First Line Management
We also offer the Award, Certificate and Diploma in Management at Level 5.
As well as the above revised qualifications, we still offer:

Level 3 Certificate in Coaching
ILM Endorsed Train the Trainer Award.

And thirdly..

Arc People Development Limited has recently merged with Exduco Limited to give you a more rounded service to assist you in getting the best from your people.

Not only can we support you in developing your people effectively, we can also help you to get the right people in the first place through our flexible recruitment and selection service.

We can help you:

Draw up job descriptions
Develop the person specification
Advertise the positions
Short-list the potential interviewees
Conduct assessment centres
Interview the prospective employees

We are now able to offer a variety of ability and aptitude tests such as:

Mental ability (MD5)
Critical reasoning (Watson Glaser)
Numerical and verbal reasoning
Spatial awareness – as well as mechanisms to assess personality including:
16 PF psychometric and behavioural assessment
Thomas International
Belbin Team Type Indicator
Managerial Assessment of Proficiency (MAP)
Myers Briggs Type Indicator

Personnel Today articles are written by an expert team of award-winning journalists who have been covering HR and L&D for many years. Some of our content is attributed to "Personnel Today" for a number of reasons, including: when numerous authors are associated with writing or editing a piece; or when the author is unknown (particularly for older articles).
