British Airways (BA) cabin crew are being advised to reject the latest pay offer from the airline, sparking fears of further strike action.
Last month, BA crew went on strike following a row over pay and working conditions.
Unite the union said progress has been made during the talks since then, but both parties has failed to reach agreement.
It will now ballot members on the offer. If they reject it, there is a possibility of further industrial action, although the union said it would not announce strike dates at this stage, according to the BBC.
The news is a major blow for the airline industry as it struggles to cope with the disruption caused by the volcanic eruption in Iceland two weeks ago.
