Cadbury Schweppes has launched its 2008 UK graduate recruitment campaign with a new online chatroom to give potential applicants the chance to interact with the company’s current graduates.
Graduates today have a higher expectation of being able to use social networking as a primary source of information and communication.
The confectionery giant has created an easy-to-use site that allows potential graduates the opportunity to chat online and put questions to its graduate recruitment team.
The site builds on the success the company had with its graduate blogs in 2005 and MP3 downloads in 2006.
The chatroom sessions are advertised on the firm’s graduate recruitment calendar and the team currently have scheduled about eight hours online dedicated to chat to interested graduates.

Susan Coen, graduate resourcing adviser at Cadbury Schweppes, said: “We have introduced the live chatroom to our website as we are keen to embrace any new technology that can improve the candidate experience when researching our company as a potential future employer.”
Cadbury Schweppes is looking to recruit 20 graduates to its 2008 intake.
