I enjoyed the article on the importance of sleep (‘Sleeping on the Job’, Personnel Today, 13 November), but was struck by a slight problem with some of the advice offered by Les Smith of Health and Wellbeing.

He suggested we drink plenty of water to avoid interrupted sleep patterns. While I would obviously agree with this, surely it increases the chances of waking up in the night to go to the toilet and then not being able to get back to sleep? Answers on a postcard please.
