DTZ appoints chief operating officer for UK & Ireland

DTZ today announced that it has appointed Andrew Jones as Chief Operating Officer for UK & Ireland.

The appointment marks another important step in strengthening DTZ’s operational management.
Andrew will report directly to Bob Rickert, Global Chief Operating Officer, and will sit on the UK Leadership team, led by John Forrester, Head of UK & Ireland.

Andrew will lead delivery of enhanced infrastructure services to the UK business, including human resources, information technology, risk management, marketing and communications.  Andrew begins his new role on Monday 23 March.
Andrew joins from Barclays where he held a number of roles including Operations Director and Chief Procurement Officer. Prior to Barclays, Andrew worked for Prudential UK.
Andrew Jones said: “DTZ is the number one player in so many UK property sectors and I am looking forward to working with the best team of property professionals in the UK. A strong UK business is crucial to the success of the DTZ group.”
This latest appointment is a further reflection of DTZ’s stated plans to reshape its management team, focussing on building its financial performance and management discipline.

In addition, it demonstrates Group CEO Paul Idzik’s directive to support DTZ’s underlying business performance by drawing on top level managerial experience and skills from different industries to complement DTZ’s existing wealth of real estate expertise.
Andrew has degrees from the Universities of Surrey and Cambridge and has an MBA from INSEAD, France.
