Businesses were recruiting more HR staff in all disciplines in the second quarter of 2010, according to the latest market update from recruitment firm Robert Walters.
HR generalists were most in demand as employers sought professionals who could perform a variety of duties to help rebuild and/or expand HR functions. Learning and development, recruitment, change management and compensation and benefits specialists were also highly sought after.
Martyn Wright, director of Robert Walters’ HR recruitment division, said: “The increased demand for compensation and benefits, and learning and development professionals indicates that businesses are now focusing on retaining key talent more than they were a few months ago and also points to improving market conditions.
