A round-up of the latest HR appointments.

Pensions, investments and insurance provider Friends Life has appointed Rob Barnett as its director of human resources. Barnett joins the organisation from Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), where he worked in a number of HR roles, including HR chief operating officer for the RBS Group.

Paul Ryan has been promoted to director of human resources and team development at Innovate Services, a catering supplier to the education sector. The appointment is one of three changes to the company’s executive management team, which also included the promotion of Ken Navin to director of operations and Sarah Barnard to director of concept and innovation.

Serviced-office-space provider Business Environment has promoted Nazia Ahmed to HR director. Ahmed has seven years’ experience in the HR industry and has worked for Business Environment for more than two years. In her new role she will support the development of employees, encourage diversity and help the business to improve its competitive advantage.
