Introducing the future of graduate recruitment with Milkround

by Personnel Today 1 Oct 2008
by Personnel Today 1 Oct 2008

The number one UK graduate recruitment website Milkround.com is striding ahead of rivals as it unveils a radical redesign to ensure it continues to meet the needs of both recruiters and candidates alike.

A new look, interactive site features, high profile branding spots and an improved search function will ensure Milkround.com maintains its market leading position as the most popular graduate recruitment website, as rated in the 2008 UK Graduate Careers Survey of 15,000 university finalists.

Its 460,000 registered users already benefit from a choice of more than 20,000 graduate jobs, schemes and placements from more than 400 companies, and the website aims to continue delivering the most effective graduate recruitment advertising, giving clients the maximum return on their exposure through the site’s crisp and clean look in line with Web 2.0 trends.

New high profile branding spots such as a run-of-site Leaderboard, MPUs and employer videos give clients increased opportunities to attract candidates to vacancies, and an improved search function will ensure candidates looking for specific jobs find those most suitable for them.

Employer profiles and vacancy pages have been developed to offer clearer information, and clients have been encouraged to offer more details about their vacancies to maximise their exposure to the right candidates.

Graduate recruiters targeting undergraduates can now feature in a Life section devoted to practical guidance for students and graduates together with advertising opportunities for gap years and internships.

Clients will also benefit from being added to industry topic pages in the coming weeks, providing listings of vacancies by industry, popular work region and occupation for candidates to bookmark to see the latest opportunities in their preferred areas.

Another additional feature for Milkround.com is interactive elements to keep candidates returning to the site.

Discussion forums will soon enable students and graduates to chat about anything, and employers will be invited to get involved with jobhunting topics too.

The introduction of the fresh features compliment the unique, personalised email alerts informing registered users of all the internships, placements, graduate jobs & schemes and company fairs, presentations and open days matching their profiles.

Milkround.com’s Managing Director Tom Hughes, said:

“I’m delighted to unveil the all new Milkround.com boasting all the features to maintain our position as the number one graduate recruitment website.

“We’ve listened to our users and clients to give them the jobsite they want and need, especially in the current economic climate where job hunting and filling vacancies cost effectively is becoming increasingly competitive.

“Our new features give clients better value for money by offering even more exposure across the site in areas directly related to the vacancies they have, and we would love to see them interacting with our database by posting in the discussion forums.

“Whether you are a student, graduate or graduate recruiter, Milkround.com is still first for graduate careers.”

Sales Director Jenni Wollerton added:

“Recruiters using Milkround.com now have even more opportunities to showcase their company and vacancies with additional high profile branding spots and additional pages for their job advertising.

“They will get maximum exposure to our database of 460,000 students and graduates for their money, paving the way for high quality applications from only the most suitable candidates. If you have graduate vacancies to fill, Milkround.com will bring fast and effective results.”
