As expected, Guru received many complaints from the residents of Hull about his story in the 8 May issue of Personnel Today sympathising with the Lithuanian migrant workers who found themselves trapped in the city.
He also received quite a few letters of agreement, including this wonderful poem from Disciple Simon:
Dear Guru,
I love the verse form of a Clerihew [a biographical and whimsical four-line style of poetry – Guru found out on Wikipedia], and I thought of this:
Hull
May be miserable,
But Middlesbrough
Is even miserabler.
It may help divert the flak you receive from angry Hulligans.
Divide and rule is what I say
Step back and let the Humbersiders and Teessiders fight it out among themselves.

Fantastic, Simon. Guru awaits further literary contributions to the Great Hull Debate.
