You say in your Top 40 Power Players feature (Personnel Today, 13 June) that I’ve had a ‘quietish year’. However, I’ve had 23 published articles, a new book written on reward strategy (out in a couple of months), 42 external presentations, 33 CIPD research publications, the numbers of CIPD members using CIPD research in their job increasing from 18% to 43% in two years, nine public policy consultation responses and 92% of CIPD members agreeing we speak with authority on policy issues, 8,000 users a month on our new full-text journals access service on the website, more than 100,000 users in the year on the site of CIPD research surveys, three letters in the Financial Times and a spot on Today on Radio 4. And you call that quiet? Receive the Personnel Today Direct e-newsletter every Wednesday Seriously though, thanks for the recognition – through me – of the good work the folks here do.
