JobTonic has launched a new website which leverages more key Web 2.0 components into online recruitment. Users can now use the people in their social networks to earn extra money.
The new Contact Grabber function makes it easy for Jobseekers to automatically search their internet mail and Microsoft Outlook accounts and invite contacts to be part of the site.
A 5% over-ride is paid to the referrer if any contact goes on to earn a job recommendation bounty. All visitors have been able to earn cash rewards for referring friends to jobs since the site’s launch in 2006.
The site also benefits from an improved user process making searching for and applying for jobs easier. With the total rewards available to jobseekers referring friends for positions now over £230,000, candidates are clamouring for more positions to recommend.
Recruiters can now benefit from greater brand visibility with a range of options to promote job listings ranging from homepage logo placement up to full size banners and site takeovers. Behind the scenes, JobTonic has employed the latest search engine optimisation (SEO) techniques to help ensure a prominent position in search listings.

Commenting on the new website, JobTonic general manager Nick Goldstein said “These enhancements will allow us to continue to lead the UK referral recruitment market and redefine the way people recruit online.”
JobTonic is the UK’s first website to reward individuals for matching candidates with positions. JobTonic allows forward-looking employers to directly target passive candidates, considered the holy grail of recruitment. In March 2007 the site was the first in the UK to reward a successful referral hire.
