Defence secretary Geoff Hoon has announced a review of Gurkha soldier’s working rights.
Hoon said the review would investigate the differences between their conditions and those of British soldiers.

“We want to ensure that the MoD’s position, both legally and morally, is beyond reproach,” he said.
Gurkhas have been involved in disputes over their rights to married quarters, pensions and the right of abode in the UK.
