With the launch of the BBC’s first ever ‘Junior Apprentice’, awareness surrounding opportunities for young people is at an all time high.
Not only is the show a perfect platform to illustrate the diverse prospects open to school leavers and young people but its popularity has highlighted the need for more apprenticeships to be launched across the UK.
In keeping with this, Bolton based training provider, Alliance Learning have launched a new apprenticeship designed to specifically meet the needs of individuals working within the Customer Service sector.
The Contact Centre apprenticeship addresses all aspects of technical, linguistic and interpersonal proficiency, in an effort to improve customer retention through improved communication skills.
The Level of apprenticeship can be tailored to each individuals needs and will be based around their current employment position.
A level 2 apprentice would be a starting point for a school leaver with no prior experience and ideal for individuals working in roles such as Receptionist, Administrator, Help Desk or Customer Service.
For individuals with a more managerial role, the Level 3 apprenticeship is designed for job roles such as Customer Service, Team Leaders, Operations Managers, Contact Centre Managers, Product Specialist, Sales Advisor etc. There is also the opportunity for an apprentice to progress to a Higher Education Foundation Degree for Contact Centres.
The Contact Centre framework is made up of 2 mandatory units, and a choice of option units which must reach a value of; 100 credits for Level 2 and 180 credits for Level 3.
Alliance Learning’s Operations Executive, Paul Cocker commented:
“Customer Service is something all companies strive to excel in. Having staff that are well informed and capable to manage within a fast paced working environment is paramount for commercial success.
“Your employees are the first point of contact for your customers and represent your company; therefore training staff must be a fundamental part of any company’s business development plan.”
