New e-learning Academy unlocks training potential at Atmel

Edvantage group, an e-learning company and Managed Learning Service provider, has launched an e-learning academy “Atmel Academy” for Atmel Corporation (Nasdaq: ATML), a worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of capacitive touch solutions and microcontrollers.

Atmel® has implemented Learning Gateway; Edvantage group’s SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) based Learning Management System, which offers selected product courses to meet identified needs in product training across the Atmel business for employees, distribution and sales representatives.  Atmel is also using Learning Gateway for accessing all sales, product and marketing training resources throughout the organisation. In addition internal product and sales training e-learning programs are developed using Edvantage group’s SaaS based Authoring Tool, CourseBuilder.

“With the implementation of the Atmel Academy, employees throughout the Atmel organisation can access product training faster and more efficiently than before. In addition we are providing just-in-time training to our sales force, maximizing our product launches”, said Alf-Egil Bogen, Vice President of Corporate Marketing at Atmel.

“Atmel, with is highly skilled internal training team , has implemented new and innovative ways of using Learning Gateway  and CourseBuilder, that they will benefit from in the years to come”, said Thomas Berglund CEO of Edvantage group.
