Beverley Shears has joined the Department for Constitutional Affairs as director of HR. She will focus on helping deliver the people strategy and building an HR delivery model. She was previously an HR consultant and, prior to that, HR director at South West Trains.
David Fairhurst has been promoted to senior vice-president, chief people officer at McDonald’s. Fairhurst joined the fast-food giant in 2005 and was previously vice-president (people).

The University of Hertfordshire has appointed Naomi Holloway as HR director. Holloway will be based in Hatfield and will oversee the HR strategy for 3,000 staff.
