On the move: Margaret Cook, Valerie Hughes-D’Aeth, and Jane Embley

Napier University has appointed Margaret Cook as HR director. Cook previously held the same role at Heriot-Watt University. She will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance on all aspects of HR delivery and people management activities.

Valerie Hughes-D’Aeth has been appointed Group HR director for Group Steria, where she will be responsible for defining and implementing HR strategy.

Jane Embley has joined Northumbria University as HR director, having most recently held the same post at Sunderland University. Embley and her new team will be working to build the university’s HR service while developing opportunities for more inclusive working in the run-up to their move to the Sutherland Building next year.
