Housing provider Lovell has appointed Melissa Bate as head of HR. Bate joined the company from logistics firm City Link, where she was general manager for HR. She will oversee and develop the building company’s HR and training teams.

Kitchen retailer Magnet has appointed an HR and training director. Karen Gregory’s remit is to develop the company’s HR and training function and oversee the 2008 recruitment drive. Prior to joining Magnet, Gregory was self-employed, handling high-profile projects within the public and private sectors.
Jodie Sanders has joined property group Goodman UK as HR administrator, after four years as HR administrator with the Royal Air Force. Sanders’ new responsibilities will include recruitment, absence management and staff records.
