On the move: Robert Halton, John Athanasiou and Claudette Bedeau

Robert Halton has joined the College of Law as its first chief people officer. Halton will be a member of the college’s governing board, and responsible for the people agenda. He was previously global chief people officer at DLA Piper.

HarperCollins Publishing has appointed John Athanasiou as director of people. Athanasiou, previously director of recruitment operations and executive search international at Time Warner, will be responsible for overseeing all areas of talent management, recruitment, compensation and benefits, staff development and employee relations.

Retail chain BrightHouse has appointed Claudette Bedeau as corporate HR manager. She will be in charge of developing and driving the employee relations and reward strategies. Bedeau was previously head of HR at Unipath.
