They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. In reference to this well-worn clich, those of you who are forced to receive the CIPD membership newsletter People Management might have come across an interview with Alison Hodgson, chairwoman of the Association of Graduate Recruiters. The very eagle-eyed among you might notice something familiar about the photos, since they were commissioned by Personnel Today for an interview we did with her more than two years ago. (OK, so you almost certainly wouldn’t have noticed, but you take the point.)
This brings us back to the original point regarding imitation – and boy, are we flattered. However, you do have to question the service PM readers are getting – they could have got a recent picture of Alison in her new offices rather than in the job she left last year.

On the upside, crisis was averted since Guru was doing the original interview, and his secret identity was nearly revealed, but for the cropping skills of a PM staffer. Phew, that was a close one! Batman never had this kind of trouble.
