I've just discovered Tony Pettengell's piece 'Why positive discrimination is a positively stupid idea'via a Google search, and wanted to say well done on a well-written and balanced article.
In an increasingly politically correct world, it's nice to hear the odd sane voice. Sadly, I think positive discrimination (or, to call it by its proper name, racism) is becoming more accepted and commonplace.
Like Martin Luther King, I also once dreamed of a society where the content of someone's personality counted rather than the colour of their skin. Instead, we seem to be swapping one form of racism for another.
