Savile Group Plc, the AIM listed human resources consultancy, has been awarded 3 star status in the 2010 Best Companies to Work For accreditation. Only 50 companies in the UK achieved 3 star status out of 773 which received accreditation.
A record 1,086 organisations from the private and public sectors with over 270,000 employees applied for Best Companies Accreditation this year, showing how high a priority staff engagement is considered to be by a company’s workforce.
Two hundred and fifty five organisations in London received accreditation, the highest concentration in the UK. Savile Group was one of only 13 London employers to achieve the coveted three star status.
Jonathan Austin, CEO and founder of Best Companies, said: “We would like to congratulate Savile Group on their outstanding achievement. An engaged workforce is essential as organisations move out of the recession and into a more stable economic situation. Organisations like Savile Group which have kept on engaging their staff and making sure they are involved in the business will be in a good position for the future and should be congratulated for their efforts”.

Jonathan Cohen, Chairman of Savile Group, commented: “For a group of companies like ours, which advises organisations on best practises in talent and career management, it is extremely important to be recognised publicly as an employer with an outstandingly engaged workforce, which applies best practices internally”
Best Companies established the accreditation award scheme to acknowledge excellence in the workplace. Based on staff feedback, it looks at employee engagement as an integral part of a company’s success and growth, and sets a benchmark for other employers. The accreditation scheme follows a Michelin star style system with companies awarded one star for first class, two stars for outstanding and three stars for extraordinary performance.
