HR professionals are being asked to take part in a confidential online survey on staff retention and turnover, the results of which will be featured in Personnel Today magazine and on Personneltoday.com early next year.
The survey, by employee engagement consultancy TalentDrain, will focus on the impact the economic downturn is having on staff retention and turnover, the relationship with organisational performance, the use of exit interviews and the interventions and approaches used to retain employees and engage new recruits.
For every completed survey, TalentDrain will make a donation to Bliss, the special care baby charity. All HR practitioners completing the survey will receive a free summary of the results when they are published in January 2009.

“Many organisations aren’t taking the necessary steps to retain their employees or attract top talent,” said Ron Eldridge, director of TalentDrain. “This survey will give the HR community a greater understanding of the challenges and issues around employee engagement and it will set a benchmark for further activity and improvements.”
