The new academy, temporarily based at Tower Hamlets College, aims to support employers in the City, Docklands and East London with a range of demand-led services to meet their training and recruitment needs.
John Earls, Unite’s representative on the board of the Financial Services Skills Council, said: “The academy’s business plan talks of working closely with the trade unions to help drive up demand for learning. We are keen to explore how this can be best delivered in practice.”
