The median training spend per employee stands at £291, according to the latest research on learning and development budgets from Personnel Today’s sister publication IRS Employment Review.
This is based on annual training budgets ranging from £20,000 to £18m across the sample, which creates a spend of between £30 and £1,600 per employee.
The survey is based on responses from 95 organisations, together employing a total of around 200,752 staff.
The research also reveals that earning and development specialists increasingly see their ability to align employee capabilities with business goals as their most important contribution to their organisation.
