UK’s top recruitment agencies according to candidates

by Personnel Today 27 May 2009
by Personnel Today 27 May 2009

HireScores, the UK’s leading recruitment scoring website has announced its results so far for 2009; revealing the Top 10 recruitment agencies in the UK according to candidates, subject to receiving a minimum number of ratings.

The site, which has over 7,500 candidates, 895 UK recruitment agencies, 400 job boards, 160 employers and 14,300 visitors each month, allows agencies to gain feedback from their users and create a more user-driven company.

This league table shows the Top 10 recruitment agencies, according to candidates, subject to a minimum number of ratings, on HireScores.com so far for 2009:

Parkhouse Bell Ltd
Executive Stand-By
Advanced Resource Managers Ltd
Ethical Recruitment – Financial
BLT (Beaumont Leslie Thomas)
Heidrick & Struggles
Amanda Smith Recruitment
Optimum IT plc
Chapple Limited
PK Recruitment Ltd

The results reflect some consistently high ranking agencies, including Parkhouse Bell who was previously positioned in 3rd place in 2008 and has now taken the Top spot, replacing Ethical Recruitment which has now dropped to 4th postion.

Advanced Resources, now in 3rd position, Heidrick & Struggles, now in 6th position and Optimum IT plc, now in 8th position, are all new to the list and did not previously score high enough to make it to the Top 10 list of agencies.

Johnstones Unique Recruitment Solutions, on the other hand, has completely dropped off the list, falling from 4th position last year.

The stress of job hunting can be a gruelling task for all involved and consequently the aim of HireScores.com is to provide recruitment diagnostics, employment advice, recruitment and candidate news and a knowledge centre.

HireScores.com offers a comprehensive feedback and report service to recruiters; providing agencies with valuable suggestions or commendations and offering employers 360 degree feedback.

Response from recruitment agencies has also been optimistic, with recruiters stating that HireScores.com enhances and encourages their work ethic. A spokesperson from Parkhouse Bell Recruitment, said;

“Getting the right information is crucial to our commitment to a personal, honest and professional approach when working with our clients and candidates. HireScores.com provides that information and we invite all our clients to get involved.”

Lisette Howlett, the founder of HireScores.com said;

“Interestingly, the agencies that have signed up to HireScores.com and work with us to encourage feedback, like Parkhouse Bell Ltd and Chapple limited, have either moved up in the rankings or are staying consistently high; highlighting how these agencies are benefiting from the service HireScores.com has to offer. This allows agencies to develop the way they work and improve their service to candidates.”
