Lecturers from across the UK are demonstrating in London against what they call a “miserly” pay offer.
Hundreds of lecturers are expected to protest outside the headquarters of the Universities and Colleges Employers’ Association (Ucea).
The march comes as the Association of University Teachers and the lecturers’ union Natfhe merge to form the University and College Union.
The union has rejected Ucea’s improved pay offer of 13.1% over three years. It wants a rise of 23% over three years.
