On the move: Stephen Cloves, Chris Hume, Katie Truss

Distribution company A F Blakemore & Son has hired Stephen Cloves as group HR director. He will develop best practice, legal compliance and management of HR as a main board director. He was previously business and human performance manager at optical lens manufacturer Carl Zeiss Vision.

Local government improvement agency IDeA has appointed Chris Hume as head of leadership and talent. He will support local authorities in improving how they use HR. Hume joins from the Youth Justice Board for England and Wales, where he was director of practice and performance.

Katie Truss has been appointed head of leadership, HR management and organisation at Kingston University’s business and law faculty. A key priority for Truss will be to extend the range of programmes available. Previously, she was director of the people research unit at the same institution.
