Boys’ Brigade attacks Liberty and Law comment

by Personnel Today 31 Jan 2006
by Personnel Today 31 Jan 2006

It was disturbing to read that you have taken the stance that you have in the so-called row over the employment agency Rare Recruitment (Personnel Today, 10 January).

Given the deeply entrenched and clearly evidenced disadvantage experienced by black people in the workplace, I can’t understand why you have felt the need to campaign on this issue.

The fact that you have quoted Gerald Hartup of Liberty and Law shows your lack of understanding of the issue.

A visit to his website will show you that he spends his time denying racism, defending the rights of the BNP to free speech and contesting media stories that report evidence of race or sex discrimination.

That’s his right, and nothing illegal about it, but hardly the sort of organisation I would have thought you would want to give column space to.
