Richard Durance has joined the Orders of St John Care Trust as HR director. He will oversee all HR and development issues for the trust, which employs 3,500 people. Durance will report directly to chief executive Nigel Reed, and is based at the headquarters in Lincolnshire.
Valerie Scoular has been appointed group director of HR at marketing communications company the Aegis Group. Scoular was most recently group HR director at Barclays.
The Sportsman, the new daily newspaper due to be published in Spring 2006, has announced the appointment of David Brown as HR director. Brown will be responsible for building up the newspaper’s HR department from scratch.
