A new programme at Glasgow Caledonian University will meet the needs of today’s fast moving global business environment and equip graduates for a range of careers where the effective management of people is both of strategic and operational importance.
Programme leader Angela Arnold explains:
“Worldwide research shows that the effective management of people can help all types of organisations achieve their strategic objectives and gain sustainable competitive advantage.  The strategic and day-to-day management of people is fundamental to any organisation’s success and we have seen strong support for graduates in people management from a number of potential employers.”
“Our programme will give graduates the academic knowledge and practical skills to become successful people managers and build exciting and worthwhile careers in a range of organisations and industries”.
The course is based on a modular structure and gives students academic awareness of the business strategy and environment as well as specialist HR issues and valuable work experience.
