Talks
to try to end the dispute between British Airways and its staff will continue
this afternoon.
BA
officials and union representatives will meet at the TUC’s London headquarters
to discuss the row, which started after a new electronic swipecard clocking-on
system was introduced at Heathrow airport.
Both
parties said yesterday’s talks were positive and they hope for an early
resolution.

Unions
fear the introduction of the new swipecard could pave the way for annualised
