The
Red Cross wants employers to let staff leave work early to watch football – in
exchange for a £1 donation to the charity.
The
Red Cross has joined up with European football’s governing body Uefa for the
duration of the Euro 2004 tournament to raise funds to support the British Red
Cross Protect Children in War campaign.

charity wants staff who donate money to be let out early on 17 July so they can
catch the 5pm scheduled kick-off of the England v Switzerland match.
