Eurostar staff vote to accept pay deal

RMT union members at Eurostar have voted by by nearly 10 to one to accept the improved pay, grading and conditions offered by the company last month.

Around 500 RMT members had been in dispute with the company over a range of issues outstanding from the 2003 pay claim.

“This dispute was settled because our members across the company stuck solidly together,” said RMT general secretary Bob Crow today.

“As a result the RMT negotiating team was able to win major concessions from the company on the key issues at the heart of the dispute,” he added.
