A doctor who was unfairly sacked six years ago has won the right to go back to work at the hospital that fired her.
Feyi Awotona, a consultant obstetrician, won a case for racial discrimination and unfair dismissal in 2002, but South Tyneside Health Care Trust refused to give her job back.

A second tribunal has now ruled that she can return to the Trust. It now faces a £1m legal bill as well as compensation for Awotona.
“My only desire is to be allowed to return to the job I love,” Awotona said.
