Flexible working will define future workplace in 2028

I was very interested to read the article by Peter Thomson (‘Will HR be about strategic partnership or operational support in 2028?’, Personnel Today, 26 February).

 

It notes the apparent difficulties inherent in balancing the need to enhance productivity with supporting family-friendly and flexible working.

 

The key is to adopt a trusting approach, allowing staff to plan their own time according to their individual requirements. The result can be improved morale and motivation, combined with high productivity.
