Kenexa, a global provider of business solutions for human resources, today announced that General Sir Mike Jackson, former head of the British Army, will be a keynote speaker at the Kenexa Government Forum to be held at the Altitude 360, Millbank Tower, London on Wednesday, 25 November.
General Sir Mike Jackson will address delegates through his presentation, entitled: ‘Engagement through Leadership’ and will draw upon his leadership experience learnt from a lifetime of service to the military.
Andrew Jackson, Managing Director of Government Solutions at Kenexa, commented: “General Jackson is a hugely experienced operational leader with clear views on the roles of leaders and managers. We are honoured to have him address our guests.”
The complimentary government forum will delve deep into the business case for employee engagement and answer many of the issues raised in the recent report written by David MacLeod and Nita Clarke, which was commissioned by the Department for Business (BIS), as well as providing a thought-provoking insight into unlocking people potential in the public sector.
General Sir Mike Jackson added: “The MacLeod report provides evidence that underpins what we all know instinctively – organisations that truly engage and inspire their employees produce world-class levels of innovation, productivity and performance. Engagement levels across the economy must be higher to meet the future challenges of international competition and of providing public service with constrained resources. We look forward to providing delegates with the information and tools to review employee engagement within their own departments and help raise awareness within the wider community.”
General Sir Mike Jackson’s illustrious career in the British Army spanned almost 45 years culminating in his appointment as Chief of the General Staff (head of the British Army) before his retirement from the Army in August 2006.
