About 300 Grosvenor Casino staff at four of the company’s top London venues are due to hold a second 24-hour strike tomorrow morning.
The Transport and General Workers’ Union (T&G), which represents croupiers, cashiers and valets, said there had been no progress in pay negotiations after the casino offered workers a 3.5% salary increase.
Rose Keeping, T&G regional industrial organiser, said: “Our members need an improvement on the 3.5% the company imposed on them at the beginning of January, especially in the light of inflation now at 4.4 % and many feeling the ‘real world’ inflation rate is higher than that.
“Our members are still struggling to cope with significant increases in electricity and gas bills together with council tax and increases on mortgages and borrowing in one of Europe’s most expensive cities.”

Grosvenor Casinos in Edgware Road; Kensington Gardens; Knightsbridge and Harrington Gardens are all expected to be affected by the industrial action.
