Home Retail Group appoints group HR director

Home Retail Group, which owns brands such as Argos and Homebase, has appointed Ella Bennett as new group HR director.

She previously worked for Fujitsu, where she was HR director for the UK and Ireland.

She also served as transformation director at the technology services giant, responsible for leading a corporate change programme and developing a culture of continuous improvement.

Of her new appointment, Bennett said: “Home Retail Group is at an exciting period in its history. With significant change in retailing, it will be the people who make the difference for customers – in developing technology, at the front line and in supporting roles.”

John Walden, chief executive of Home Retail Group, said: “Ella brings with her a broad range of HR experience in both private and third-sector organisations which were going through transformational change. She also has had significant experience in the recruiting and development of technology talent, which will be important to the strategic plans of Home Retail Group.”
