Poole’s leading, independent recruitment agency, Jobshop UK, celebrated ‘National Temp Workers Week’ by announcing that Jenny Brunt has been appointed Temp Of The Year.
Currently commuting from her home in Poole to Winchester University where she is studying for a degree in Psychology, 24-year old Jenny has been working as a temp for Jobshop UK since 2006. Jenny Brunt said: “It is wonderful to be given official recognition of how much I am appreciated by both Jobshop UK and the companies to which I have been assigned. Temporary work has given me the flexibility to be able to earn money whilst at university and Jobshop has been amazing in providing me with interesting and varied assignments”.
In recognition for her outstanding hard work, Frances Miles, Director of Jobshop UK and Jayne Harding, Consultant Temporary Staff at Jobshop UK awarded Jenny with a certificate, Topshop vouchers and a bouquet. Since becoming a temp with Jobshop UK Jenny has carried out numerous assignments for the agency with many local businesses and organisations including the NHS; County Courts; ROK, Bournemouth & Poole College and Allan & Bath. One of the many companies nominating Jenny for the award was ROK.
Commenting Cheryl Wilkinson said: “Jenny was a pleasure to work with and extremely efficient. We would take her back anytime”. Other companies and organisations recommending Jenny for the award included Bournemouth & Poole PCT.

Carol Shepherd, a supervisor in Patient Services said: “Jenny was an excellent worker. She fitted into the department very well both in terms of communicating with and copying with the work in a very busy office”. Jenny was chosen from over 400 temporary staff working for the agency during 2008/9 using feedback from clients categorising commitment, loyalty, flexibility and reliability. In every instance Jenny was awarded top marks.
