Construction
group Laing O’Rourke has appointed Denise Kingsmill, the former deputy chairman
of the Competition Commission, to create and chair a new advisory forum on
people management.
With
a 15,000 labour force around the globe, Laing O’Rourke said it wanted to
incorporate the best people practices it can in a bid to drive productivity
gains.
The
forum will look at a range of areas, including:

skills development in the UK and internationally
·
international labour standards
·
health & safety
·
sustainability
·
corporate ethics and
