Leading analyst firms recognise Plateau for market and product leadership

Plateau is named as a ‘Leader’ in the IDC MarketScape for Integrated Talent Management and ranked as a ‘Hot Vendor’ for Total Compensation Management in the latest Ventana Research Value Index.

The independent analyst firm IDC has named Plateau as a ‘Leader’ in the ‘IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Integrated Talent Management 2011 Vendor Analysis” report, released this month. The report analyses integrated talent management providers in terms of their strategies and capabilities, product offerings, go-to-market execution and business plans.

In the report, Lisa Rowan, Program Director of HR, Learning and Talent Strategies at IDC, stated: “Plateau rose to leader status in this year’s analysis through deepened integration of its offerings, strong client references and the advent of Plateau Foundation. Other strengths include the depth of its various talent offerings, a good partner ecosystem, and a strong consulting team and consultative approach to onboarding (induction) clients.”

Plateau Systems, a provider of SaaS-based talent management solutions, has also been ranked as a ‘Hot Vendor’ in Ventana Research’s 2011 Value Index for Total Compensation Management, also released this month. This Value Index enables organisations to determine the value to them of compensation management applications.

According to Mark Smith, CEO and EVP of Ventana Research, writing in the Executive Summary: “This Ventana Research Value Index is an analytic representation of our assessment of how well vendors’ offerings meet buyers’ requirements for software that enables and supports total compensation management.”

For this report, Ventana Research evaluated Plateau Compensation – a compensation management solution that gives organisations the ability to automate compensation planning and easily implement comprehensive and flexible salary and incentive plans.

Additional information about Plateau Compensation, part of Plateau’s fully-integrated Talent Management Suite, is available at http://www.plateau.com/talent-management-suite/compensation-planning.html. An Executive Summary of the Value Index is available at http://www.ventanaresearch.com/executive_summaries/VITCM11es.aspx.

“We’ve made a big investment in fully integrating compensation management into our complete talent management suite, so we’re thrilled to be recognised as a Hot Vendor by Ventana Research,” said Paul Sparta, Chairman and CEO of Plateau. “Companies putting pay-for-performance into reality need a solution that not only automates compensation planning but aligns it with individual and organisational performance – which is what Plateau offers.”

He added: “Our leadership position in the IDC MarketScape for talent management is a great validation of both our approach to providing a fully-integrated suite of talent management solutions and our commitment to customer support and success. IDC’s recognition of the Foundation architecture shows how important SaaS architecture and implementation can be to ensuring a positive experience for customers.”
