IT services firm, LogicaCMG, has won a £3.1m contract to design, develop and deliver acquisition training for the Ministry of Defence (MoD).
The Defence Industrial Strategy was published in December 2005, with the aim of getting the MoD and industry to work more closely to safeguard the provision of the best possible resources for British military operations.

At its centre for acquisitions training, LogicaCMG will provide a learning programme that will include project and programme management, commercial practice and integrated logistics support.
Sir Ian Andrews, second permanent under secretary for the MoD, said: “This upskilling programme is of central importance. We need to ensure that our people have the right skills to continue to improve the way we do acquisition.”
