rated most popular graduate recruitment site has been confirmed as the UK’s leading graduate recruitment website by final year students.

The High Fliers UK Graduate Careers Survey quizzed more than 15,000 final year students from 30 leading universities about the jobsites they used during the 2007/08 academic year.

Milkround was found to be the most widely used commercial graduate recruitment website, used by 35 percent of finalists and overtaking closest rival Prospects for the first time in five years.

The High Fliers report showed visits to Milkround have increased by more than a quarter since 2006, and 80 percent of users rated it as ‘quite useful’ or ‘very useful’.

It also revealed Milkround has the highest number of registered users compared with other graduate recruitment sites: some 29 percent of finalists said they had signed up to receive emails, adding up to 24,000 finalists from the 30 universities featured in the survey.

The report states more than four-fifths of students who visited Milkround went on to register – proof of the confidence finalists have in the service.

The findings of the High Fliers report are backed up by Milkround’s own on-site survey of more than 1,000 student and graduate users.

More than half (55 percent) said they visited at least once a week and 70 percent would recommend Milkround to others.

Some 71 percent rated four or five out of five for providing a satisfying experience.

More than half (56 percent) rated as the best job site for meeting their student and graduate job hunting needs.
