The move comes after the union organised a number of localised strikes across the UK, and said it was prepared to call off all strike action if Royal Mail agreed to stop all redundancies, according to the report.
Royal Mail’s plan to cutback on its 121,000 frontline postal workers as part of a modernisation programme is at the core of the dispute.
